🌲 More About Wood Game →One of the most anticipated indie games of 2027-2028
Waqar Games (WG) is an independent game development studio based in Pakistan, founded in 2026 by Waqar Ahmed. It's a one-person studio — meaning every aspect of game development is handled by a single person: game design, programming, 3D modeling, texturing, animation, sound, and everything in between.
Our first major project is an upcoming indie game 2027 called Wood — expected to release on PC sometime in 2027 or 2028.
Here's a list of upcoming games 2027 that we're tracking (including our own):
| Game Name | Developer | Release | Platform |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🌲 Wood | Waqar Games | 2027-2028 | PC |
| Upcoming Game #2 | TBA | 2027 | PC |
| Upcoming Game #3 | TBA | 2027 | Multi-platform |
Wood is the main project we're tracking. Other upcoming games 2027 will be added here as they're announced.
Wood is our flagship upcoming game for 2027-2028 — an ambitious indie project that we've been building from scratch. It's a project born from years of passion for games and game development.
We're keeping most details about Wood under wraps for now — including the story, gameplay mechanics, and visual style. But we can promise it will be a unique experience you won't find anywhere else.
More details coming soon. Follow along as development progresses.
Let me tell you the truth — the real story behind Waqar Games. It's not a story of a big studio with a huge budget, a powerful PC, and a full team. It's the opposite.
I'm building Wood on a broken, low-spec laptop with no GPU. It doesn't have an SSD — it runs on an old HDD. It takes 10-15 minutes just to boot up. Every task I do — running a game engine, rendering 3D models, testing code — comes with lag and struggle.
I don't have a proper home setup. I work from school, or a local center, with friends around me. In a situation where most people would give up, I chose to keep going.
While my friends are playing games, I'm building one. While others are watching videos, I'm modeling 3D objects, writing code, and pushing through lag. I chose the harder path — because I believe in what I'm building.
I spent 2 years on YouTube before this — trying to build something, only to realize the model I was following was broken for me. It wasn't the right path. So I switched. I picked up game development. And I haven't looked back since.
I've been working on this for years now. Every minute of lag. Every crash. Every failure. Every "why am I doing this?" moment — I've faced them all. But I'm still here. Still building. Still pushing.
My goal is simple: to become successful doing what I love. To prove that you don't need the best equipment or the biggest budget — you just need the will to keep going.
Here's the roadmap for our upcoming game 2027-2028:
Building the core systems for Wood. Learning advanced 3D modeling and game programming. Setting up Waqar Games as a studio.
First playable builds of Wood. Early gameplay testing with trusted friends. Major features finalized.
Building more games, growing Waqar Games as a studio, and creating experiences for players worldwide.
At Waqar Games, we handle every aspect of game development ourselves:
It's a massive undertaking for one person — but it's what makes Waqar Games special. Every pixel, every line of code, every sound — it all comes from one developer with a dream.
Waqar Ahmed is the founder of Waqar Games and the sole developer behind every project. A self-taught web developer and game developer from Pakistan 🇵🇰, Waqar is passionate about building things that solve problems and bring joy to people.
He also created Universal Screen Recorder Pro — a free, browser-based screen recorder used by thousands of users worldwide.
